If you regularly schedule Webinars, please purchase a license. This process must go through an approval process and all submissions are “pending” until approved. Availability is based on the needs of CITS and Central Administration followed by a first come, first serve basis from other schools and departments. Please request your Webinar reservation at least 2 weeks prior to your Event. Please use your Outlook Calendaring feature to reserve a 100 (CITS Zoom Webinar 100), 500 (CITS Zoom Webinar 500) or 1,000 (CITS Zoom Webinar 1000) Webinar license. Note: price ranges from $350-$8,675 annually. In webinars, they are often intended to be utilized just by the host, however, in meetings, they are more participatory and can be made accessible to anybody. Please see the price list on page 2 and follow the instructions on how to request a Webinar license. It’s worth noting, though, that there are differences in how these functions work differently in Zoom Webinars and Meetings. Each department must pay for their own individual license for Zoom Webinar. This link may be placed on a public website. Only panelists are visible to all participants and only panelists can speak during the Webinar. Typically, webinar attendees do not interact with one another. Webinars are ideal for large audiences or events that are open to the public. Host designates roles the user the webinar is scheduled under. A webinar has registration, reporting and in-meeting chat for attendees. Everyone is visible in the meeting window and everyone can speak. Can the host see you in a webinar on Zoom A webinar is a view-only platform where the attendees cannot see each other and the host cannot see, but can manage, the attendees. The meeting feature, on the other hand, is available on free and all other versions of the Zoom platform. The webinar is a paid add-on that is available on Pro, Business and other Zoom’s subscription models. The host has the ability to mute all participants. Even though meetings and webinars on Zoom have a lot of in common, there are a number of differences between these two features. Zoom meetings are ideal for hosting more interactive sessions where you’ll want to have lots of audience participation.
